The Essex House is located on Central Park in New York City. The hotel opened in 1931 and has 509 rooms. It stands at 461 feet tall and has 43 floors. The building is rather famous, but will it last in a life after people?
1 day after people: New York's power has shut down. The famous red sign goes dark.
50 years after people: The famous sign atop the building is weakening. A strong gust of wind blows the sign over and it crashes to the street below.
150 years after people: The Essex House itself is still standing strong, but behind the hotel, stands One57, a residential building that stands at about 1000 feet tall. One57 tilts and falls onto the Essex House in the process, destroying it.
