The Exploratorium is a San Franciscan museum that houses many interactive handmade exhibits. Located near the Palace of Fine Arts, it was opened in 1969 by Frank Oppenheimer, the brother of Robert Oppenheimer, the creator of the atomic bomb. The Exploratorium is a popular destination for local field trips and tourists.
