France, officially the French Republic, is a transcontinental country spanning Western Europe and overseas regions and territories in the Americas and the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. France is a unitary semi-presidential republic with its capital in Paris, the country's largest city and main cultural and commercial centre; other major urban areas include Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Lille, Bordeaux, and Nice.[1]

In Life After People, France is one of the countries to be set in Bound and Buried featuring Paris famous Louvre Museum where the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo is stored and and the Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Lascaux Cave and its replica. In the documentary itself, the Eiffel Tower is featured while the Arc de Triomphe appears as a cameo while in the season 2 episode Take Me to Your Leader, the Palace of Versailles is featured due to its Hall of Mirrors. The Pointe du Hoc in Normandy is also featured in Armed & Defenseless.
