230 Years After People: Neuschwanstein Castle is still perched high in the hills along the German-Austrian Border, but freezing winters in Bavaria have rotted the castle's foundations. When the next winter blows in with hail and ice, the tall tower falls into the center of the castle. The wall closest to the slope gives way, and the entire masterpiece slides off the hill, down into the snow.
