1 hour after people, An oil refinery on Houston’s Shipping Channel still continues to work. But there is a problem in the refinery’s reactor, a tall column that converts oil into gasoline. The reactor depends on feeding tanks to supply it with oil. Now one of the feeder tanks has run dry. Sparks ignite the gasoline vapors in the reactor causing the entire refinery to explode. The holding tanks catch fire and burn for months. This is repeated in other oil refineries until the entire Houston Shipping Channel becomes a post-apocalyptic firestorm.

3 months after people, The oil refinery fires along Houston's Shipping Channel have finally extinguished themselves.
