160 Years After People: San Alfonso del Mar, in Algarrobo Chile, was famous for holding the largest pool in the world (3,323 ft long and 115 ft deep; saltwater). The pool has degraded and filled with debris, and when an earthquake strikes Algarrobo, a crack opens up, leading to the ocean. The entire pool flows out to the sea, and fills back up with seaweed and marine life.
