Desperate for food they break out of farms and ranches and try to survive in the wild. They can eat things like brush that other cattle can’t and with a huge set of horns they are far from defenseless.
250 years after people, The iconic Texas Longhorn Cattle still survive in the wild. Many ordinary cattle died off because the struggled to give birth without people as well as the predators in the area. The Longhorns did not have this problem as they already give birth without human assistance. They now number in the tens of millions.
